Sarah Haywood was today re-elected Spokesperson for the UK Weddings Taskforce. Sarah is co-founder of the industry-led, Government-supported Taskforce which was set up at the end of 2020. It's aim is to assist the UK Weddings Sector, decimated by the pandemic restrictions, through to the other wide of the COVID-19 crisis.

Walpole is the official sector body for UK luxury, representing 250 'jewel in the crown' UK businesses. This week, as part of International Women's Day 2021, it is dedicating it's content to inspirational female founders within the Walpole membership. Today Sarah Haywood shares her thoughts on the female-dominated wedding sector, left behind by the pandemic restrictions. Sarah Haywood has been appointed the first Global Ambassador for the charity VOW to End Child Marriage. "I am thrilled to be working with VOW who are committed to ending child marriage around the world which affects 12 million girls under the age of consent every year," says Sarah. "The charity raises funds and awareness to support local grassroots organizations - and with 100% of the money raised going to these organizations.”

As a leading figure in the UK and overseas wedding industry, she has been regularly interviewed by the national and international news media. Sarah was a founding member of the #WhatAboutWeddings campaign, and now works with wider events industry colleagues on the #OneIndustryOneVoice campaign and #WeCreateExperiences.

We are thrilled to announce the first episode of Sarah Haywood's new TV show The Wedding Fixer will air tonight on UKTV's W Channel. The six one-hour episodes will see Sarah assist couples navigate the pitfalls, stresses and strains of Wedding Planning. She will be there to guide and advise and sprinkle a little fairy dust over their celebrations! Airs Tuesdays at 10pm until 31st March on W, repeated Sundays and Mondays at 8pm on these channels: Sky 109, Virgin 125, BT 311 and TalkTalk 311.
